To hear them sing with such great arrangements and power is something I'll never forget. The time we spent together singing was also priceless! It is obvious by their enthusiasm and by their heart for Christ that they have a desire to really minister to the churches and to be a part of what God is doing. Hines President, Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce WOW!! What a blessing! The Shoals Praise and Worship Choir kicked off the week of Depot Days activities with song, praise and enthusiasm. This non-denominational community wide event brings all believers together to worship and praise God. Excitement from the choir flowed into the congregation and everyone was filled with the spirit. The concert was both uplifting and energetic. Hearts were touched and people were overwhelmed and energized. God is working through this talented group by providing them the opportunity to share his word. We will welcome this choir back with open arms and joyful heart at anytime in the future and encourage others to do the same. We will continue to keep the choir and their work in our prayers. We also will encourage others to enjoy the Shoals Praise and Worship Choir experience. God bless you all! Bobby Clemmons Fred, I sure was blessed this weekend. I came to Florence to visit my folks and ended up with an experience that was truly a blessing. Glyndell had been telling me about your wonderful choir, how it was formed, all the success you have experienced and even sent me one of your CD's. However, the only way that one can get the full impact of what you and your group have accomplished is through an actual experience, and boy did I have one of those! I can't explain to you or describe the feelings I had during your performances last week. I was actually more excited about the second performance than the first simply because I knew what was coming. Another thing that was quite obvious was the commitment that you have from the members. The blessing that they are getting from singing the beautiful music is so apparent in their voices and most assuredly in their expressions. The joy they have come to receive is readily apparent before, during and after they perform. Their performance made my heart feel good, I know theirs was truly overflowing. It also was so good to see many people that I know in the choir, friends, former schoolmates, friends of the family, etc. To see them engaged in the spirit of the Lord is such a powerful and fulfilling manner was so uplifting to my faith and soul. God blessed a lot of folks last week and I was only one of them. I know God was looking down and smiling and maybe even humming along. He had to be most proud - truly as a father would view his children. What a great experience for me and I know for countless others. Each of you are to be commended for a love of the Lord that is reaching out to so many in such a powerful way. I think God would have given you a "10". Jennifer Colvard Yep, I do indeed love the Shoals Praise and Worship Choir! It is so great to watch so many people join their voices and hearts in worshipping our Creator. My only regret is that I cannot join you guys in ministering to the community. Every time Fred mentions something about joining the group, I want to jump out of my seat and say, "Pick me, Pick me" But, alas, I don't live here during the school year, so I have to enjoy listening to you guys, which is absolutely amazing! It has been a long time since I have experienced the joy of praising our Lord like we did that night. I confess that I was not sure what to expect, but I was overwhelmed from the very beginning by the enthusiasm and great sound from your choir. Our folks want to have you and the choir back soon. In a genuine display of the unity of the Spirit spoken of by Paul in Ephesians 4:3, the members of this choir come from many different churches. The Spirit makes them one because it is their love for Jesus Christ that exceeds tribal theology. Their passion for the Savior can be seen and felt through their music. They are inspiring because they sing gospel music that touches the heart. They have sung at several events at First Baptist Church and invariably they bless those who hear. I highly recommend this choir. Any pastor would do himself and his congregation a tremendous favor to invite this choir to be a part of any special event. I promise, you will not be disappointed. I have followed the ministry of conductor, Fred Hendon, and this extraordinary group of singers since their inception in 1999. If you have the opportunity to attend a Shoals Praise Choir concert you should do so. You'll have a visit with the Lord. |
